Xbox has unveiled new design templates on the Xbox Design Lab website, inspired by the recently released Shattered Space DLC for Starfield. This expansion, which launched on September 30, aims to breathe new life into the game with fresh bosses, factions, and weapons, among other features.

When it comes to custom controllers, Xbox remains a prominent name, frequently rolling out new looks and special edition themes. Recently, Xbox introduced its Ghost Cipher Xbox controller, and rumors suggest another new controller may soon follow. Before these options hit the market, Xbox has made Starfield: Shattered Space-themed controller templates available for customization.

On the Xbox Design Lab's homepage, players can find two unique controller templates inspired by the Shattered Space expansion. One features a solid color design for the standard Xbox Series controller, while the other offers a transparent design for the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. Users can select the "Design Elite" or "Design Standard" buttons to begin customizing either option. Without any additional customizations, the standard version is priced at USD 87.96, while the Elite version costs USD 159.98.

Both controller templates showcase pink and purple hues inspired by the Shattered Space expansion, but they do not feature any detailed designs, such as the Constellation markings found on the special edition Starfield Xbox controller. This distinguishes the simpler templates from the more intricate special edition accessories released alongside the game. Additionally, Xbox has released other themed controller designs for games like Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, FC 25, and Lollipop Chainsaw: RePOP, which are also available for purchase.

With the Shattered Space DLC now available, it remains to be seen how this will impact Starfield's growth, especially since its player count has declined in recent months. Bethesda hopes this expansion will reinvigorate the game's player base, much like the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC did for Elden Ring. In the coming weeks, it will become clear whether the Shattered Space launch succeeds in revitalizing the game.
